August 18th marked the start of the 33rd Annual Albertsons Boise Open at Hillcrest Country Club in Boise, Idaho. Simmons Fine Jewelry was proud to support and sponsor this year’s event. By providing and sponsoring the winner’s trophies throughout the week and awarding the Boise Open champion, Will Gordon, with the Oris Aquis Champion’s Watch.

“I learned how to play golf with my grandfather at Hillcrest Country Club.  This place is special to me and being able to support such a marquee community event here, that does so much for so many charities,  just makes sense plus”.  – Blake Simmons

Not only does this event bring some fantastic golf to town, the Boise Open also brings fantastic fun.  This year music from Midland, Billy Idol and Train entertained golf fans and the public alike.  With the boise foothills as the backdrop fans sang and danced next to the 18th fairway.   How cool is that? Golf by day and Concerts by night, on the course!

On the opening night, Albertsons and Chevron executives announced that $3 Million was being donated to charity, a record for any event in the 33-year history of the Korn Ferry Tour.

Jeff Sanders, CEO of Jeff Sanders Entertainment, said, “Thanks to the amazing support of Albertsons, Chevron, our treasured sponsors, the great fans of Boise and our 800 hard-working volunteers, we are thrilled to announce this record contribution to deserving charities.”
