“Time is running out for many of these veterans, and we are fortunate to work with Honor Flight Network to give them ‘one last mission’ and honor them as they so rightly deserve,” said Thierry Prissert, Breitling U.S.A. President. “Breitling has been a longtime supporter of the Honor Flight Network, and we are very happy to have our valued partner Westime join us for this worthy cause.”
“It is a privilege to work with Breitling and Honor Flight Southland,” said Westime President Greg Simonian. “Our veterans give so much for our country, so it feels very meaningful to thank them with the trip to see the Memorials in Washington, DC.”

This is the largest flight to depart from the Los Angeles area, organized by Honor Flight Southland, a regional hub of the Honor Flight Network. Honor Flight’s mission is to send veterans to visit the memorial dedicated to their service in Washington, DC, free of charge. According to the Department of Veteran Affairs, an estimated 860 WWII veterans die each day. In 2015, the youngest WWII veteran is 87 years old, most are well into their 90’s.

“Honor Flight Southland is incredibly grateful for Breitling and Westime’s generous support; this flight would not have been possible without them,” says Honor Flight Southland Co-Founder and Chairman Craig Van Doren. “Giving our veterans the opportunity to see the Memorials dedicated to their honor makes a huge impact in their lives because it underscores how grateful to them we are as a country.”
To date, Breitling has supported the Honor Flight Network by helping to fly over 400 veterans to Washington, DC in support of Honor Flight’s mission. To further support this noteworthy cause, Breitling is pleased to offer a special edition Honor Flight Navitimer, with proceeds from the highly sought-after watch being donated to Honor Flight. Based on the iconic Breitling Navitimer 01 timepiece, the 2015 Honor Flight limited edition watch features the Honor Flight logo on each case back along with the inspirational statement, “Honor Flight – One Last Mission.” This commemorative timepiece is equipped with Breitling’s Caliber 01, the exclusive, 100 percent in-house chronograph movement created by Breitling and backed by its exclusive five-year warranty.

ABOUT BREITLING: A specialist of technical watches, Breitling has played a crucial role in the development of the wrist chronograph and is a leader in this complication. Léon Breitling founded the company in 1884 in St. Imier, Switzerland, and chose to devote himself to the exclusive and demanding field of chronographs and timers. Breitling developed the first independent chronograph pushpiece in 1915 and then added the second pushpiece in 1934 to complete the final configuration of the modern chronograph. In 1969, the brand introduced the first self-winding chronograph movement. Today Breitling is the world’s only major watch brand to equip all its models with chronometer-certified movements, the ultimate token of precision. Breitling is one of the rare companies to produce its own mechanical chronograph movement, entirely developed and manufactured in its state-of-the-art workshops with its quality guaranteed by an unprecedented five-year warranty. This family business is also one of the last remaining independent Swiss watch brands, celebrating its 130-year anniversary in 2014.
