Private Watchmaking Event
The Idaho Watch Collective is a community-based organization dedicated to promoting the art of watchmaking. Thus at one of the recent events, members were given a unique opportunity to hand make their own watch. Receiving some help along the way from our experienced in house watchmaker.
Amplitude 2022 was held at Simmons Fine Jewelry, where members gathered to learn the ins and outs of watchmaking. Also trying their hand at crafting their own timepieces. The watchmaker led the group through the process step by step, providing guidance and support along the way.
Each member was given a kit that included all the necessary components for their watch. Including the movement, case, dial, hands, and strap (Like Shown below). Components in the kit were carefully selected to ensure that each watch was functional, beautiful and unique.
Assembling The Watch
The process of assembling the watch was both challenging and rewarding. Members had to use precision tools and techniques to ensure that each component was properly fitted and aligned. The watchmaker provided guidance and feedback throughout the process, helping members troubleshoot any issues that undoubtedly arose and ensuring that each watch was of the highest quality.
The handcrafted watches were not only beautiful and functional, but they also represented a deep connection between the members and the art of watchmaking.
