Charity

In August, Boise welcomed the Korn Ferry Tour at the Hillcrest Country Club. Having started with over 100 players and through elimination during the week player count shrank to 75. Having points up for grabs, top tour members rushed to gain points to keep their top 25 placing. With the top 25 in the standings receiving their PGA Tour Card, there was a lot on the line. Making the Albertsons Boise Open a must watch event. On the opening night of the tournament, Albertsons and Chevron announced the largest donation to charity of the Korn Ferry Tour. Shown below, are the executive members of Albertsons and Chevron unveiling the $3 million check for local charities.

Concerts And Golf

In addition to the tournament, the Boise Open featured a range of other activities and events for fans to enjoy. Having several hospitality areas located around the course, offering food, drinks, and a comfortable place to enjoy the action. Also having opportunities to meet and interact with the golfers, attend clinics, workshops, and participate in charity auctions. On top of that, every night leading up to the finals on Sunday, Hillcrest Country Club hosted concerts from bands such as Midland, Billy idol and Train. Playoff Win

After finishing the final round of the Albertsons Open, Will Gordon, Philip Knowles and Will Daffue were tied for the lead of the Boise Open. With a winner needed, the players entered into a playoff to become the outright winner of the tournament.  After scoring lower on the first hole, Will Gordon came out victorious to take the tournament win in style. Shown below, Blake Simmons is shown handing Will Gordon the custom made Oris Watch we provided for the winner.

With the first time sponsoring the event coming to an end, Blake had this to say, “I learned how to play golf with my grandfather at Hillcrest Country Club. This is special to me and being able to support such a marquee community event here, that does so much for so many charities, just makes sense plus.” After the success of the Albertsons Boise Open, we look forward in continuing our support of the local community. As well as continuing our effort to create fun and memorable experiences for our members.
